Site Investigations at Weymouth Harbour

Dorset Council, working together with WSP Ltd and Hanson Heidelberg Cement Group, will start site investigation works at Nothe Parade, Weymouth on Monday 8 February. The works will help to inform the design of repairs to harbour ‘wall C’.
Trial pits will be excavated to assess infrastructure, fill material and any voids behind the wall. This requires the partial closure of the road between 5 Nothe Parade and 10 Nothe Parade while works are carried out. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works, with only emergency access for vehicles allowed.
Works will be carried out by hand tools in order to minimise disturbance from both noise and vibration.
