Wey Chieftain IV Contributes to Protected Status of WW1 Sub

Resident of Weymouth Harbour, Wey Chieftain IV, has spent much time involved in the discovery, surveying and protection of our historical assets in local waters. In recent years, the discovery of cannon sites and the second world war wreck of Chasseur 7 led to sites being given protection by Historic England and the Royal Navy respectively. Dorset Fishermen join new initiative to keep our seas litter free

Fishermen, Harbour Masters, Litter Free Coast and Sea and Odyssey Innovations have worked together to get new recycling bins in place at Weymouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis. The bins are provided by Odyssey Innovations, a pioneering organisation based in the South West that have created a circular economy through recycling marine plastic. Weymouth Bay Zoning Buoys and NTM From 1st April

From 1 April 2021, the slipway area at Bowleaze Cove in Weymouth will be changed to a non-motorised vessel zone. This means PWC (Personal Water Craft) users wishing to launch will be directed to the nearest slipway in Weymouth Harbour, Commercial Road. Weymouth Bay Zoning Buoys Forthcoming Changes

From 1 April 2021, the slipway area at Bowleaze Cove in Weymouth will be changed to a non-motorised vessel zone. This means PWC (Personal Water Craft) users wishing to launch will be directed to the nearest slipway in Weymouth Harbour, Commercial Road.
