Contacting the Emergency Services
22 August 2017
Following the analysis of a recent incident customers are advised that for a water-borne incident, upon dialling 999 always ask for the Coastguard in the first instance so that a trained call handler can acquire the exact details to allow a swift and efficient SAR operation.
Coastguard will then organise other emergency services as well as appropriate SAR resources as required.
