Site Works Update
29 January 2024
Progress continues at Weymouth Peninsula; over the last month the Knights Brown team have almost completed the west ramp and davit crane bases. The demolition of Building F is finished and further ducting has been fitted at compounds A&B. An attenuation tank has been installed which will control the amount of storm water that runs off the site and is released into the local sewer systems. Without this, heavy rainfall could cause serious overloading of the exisiting infrastructure.
In the coming weeks, there are plans to construct the eastern ramp and fuel slab. More ducting will be installed, as will CCTV bases and davit cranes which are due at the end of January.
There have been a couple of minor delays due to wait times for drainage designs and delivery of the electrics kiosk but all in all, work is progressing well and in a timely manner.
